On January 1, 2026, David Lee Buckley, age 42, of rural St. Mary, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior. David was born on May 8, 1983, to Ronald and Katherine (Miller) Buckley of Big Sandy, Tennessee.

David leaves behind his beloved wife, Megan, and his children—one son and two daughters—as well as two step-daughters. He is also survived by his mother, two brothers, one sister, five nieces, five nephews, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Buckley, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

David was a humble veteran who quietly made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back without hesitation. The only thing David ever asked in return for his kindness was that others pay it forward.

Today, we are asking for help to do just that.

David’s passing was sudden and unexpected, and at just 42 years old, life insurance was not something that had yet been put in place. His family is now facing not only the immense emotional loss of a husband, father, and provider, but also the financial burdens that come with laying him to rest and rebuilding their lives.

Any donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward helping David’s family navigate this difficult next chapter. If you are unable to give, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping his family in your thoughts and prayers.

This is our opportunity to honor David’s legacy of generosity, compassion, and selflessness by paying it forward to the family he loved so much.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
