My father, David Behr, recently performed CPR on a man in cardiac arrest outside of 7-Eleven before first responders arrived. He did not know the man personally — he simply saw someone in need and stepped in without hesitation. My father has struggled with homelessness, health issues, and financial hardship for years, yet he has always been the type of person to help others however he can, even when he has very little himself.

Recently, his truck — which has been his shelter and transportation — began having serious mechanical issues and is unsafe to drive without repairs. He also recently lost the location where he had safely parked for the past two years, making his situation even more unstable. Many people in the community asked how they could help after hearing what happened. This fundraiser is being created directly by his family so there is transparency regarding where the funds will go.

Donations will help with safe and reliable transportation, vehicle repairs, stable housing, daily necessities, and helping my father regain stability after years of hardship.
