Support for Dave Curtis Family

As many of you know, on April 1st, 2026, family and friends experienced the unexpected, sudden loss of Dave Curtis; beloved son, dad, uncle, nephew, cousin, chosen family, and friend to many. This shock to his family has been complicated by their loss of Dave's dad, Michael, just two weeks before. Dave’s family is very appreciative of the outpouring of support as they have been navigating this unbelievable heartbreak. As long-time friends, we know so many people have a wealth of gratitude for Dave’s love, support, intelligence, genuine and loyal friendship, his zest for adventure and possibilities, his humor and fun nature, his music and creativity, honesty, charisma, his willingness to be reliable, his unmistakable laugh, and his unique spirit that was undeniably special.

Dave collected friends everywhere he traveled and we know many people want to continue to show-up for him. Let’s transform this collective grief into compassionate action for Dave and uplifting his kids, Sarie and Caleb. We are hopeful that this fundraiser can organize the community's desire to help Dave's family in a manageable and meaningful way at this time. In the wake of this tragedy, Sarie and Caleb have had to leave their established lives out-of-state. In addition to the emotional toll, there are significant financial challenges facing them and Teri (Dave’s Mom), which include making necessary repairs on Dave’s property, loss of income, travel, settling final affairs, and probate/legal expenses.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will help Dave’s kids manage the many responsibilities left behind and give a bit of relief during this time of unimaginable loss.
