My daughter has been fighting cancer for many years. She inherited a genetic disposition that increases the risk of developing cancer. She has had two bouts of breast cancer and one of invasive melanoma. She is cancer-free and trying to reconstruct her life. She successfully raised one son to adulthood and has another son who is a sophomore in high school. She successfully ran a horse riding business but can no longer work in that trade. She is working as a CNA and working on the completion of her RN. She is discouraged right now because she is unable to make enough to support herself and her son and continue schooling. She works 12-hour shifts while attending school. There are some funds to assist but not enough for success. She has faced bad news after bad news with courage and grace. There are times she only gets four hours of sleep on her grueling schedule. She would like to continue her studies but between work and school, she is struggling. She just needs a boost.
