Darrell (Hammer) Harris is the kind of person who never hesitates to lend a hand. Every day, he’s out there helping others, working hard, and making a difference in the lives of those around him. But on December 13th, 2025, everything changed. Darrell suffered a series of strokes and needed emergency heart surgery. The doctors said he wouldn’t make it, but by the grace of God, he’s still fighting. Since then, he’s been in three different hospitals, and we haven’t been home since December 13th, having been transferred to two different states for his care. On top of everything, Darrell also suffered kidney failure and now faces a long road of dialysis ahead. The journey has been long and filled with uncertainty, but Darrell continues to fight for his recovery.
Darrell has always been the breadwinner in our family, and his sudden illness has made it incredibly difficult to make ends meet. The bills are piling up, and the stress of trying to keep up with living expenses is overwhelming. We’ve always been the ones helping others, never asking for help ourselves, but life has a way of turning things upside down.
We are reaching out to our community, friends, and anyone who knows Darrell, asking for your support during this tough time. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly toward covering bills and living expenses while Darrell continues his fight to recover. Thank you in advance for your kindness, generosity, and prayers. We are deeply grateful for any help you can give.
