My name is darnise, and I am reaching out during the most difficult time of my life. Over the past year, my health has taken a severe turn. I have been diagnosed with third degree heart block, chronic pancreatitis, stomach ulcers, PCOS, endometriosis, and adenomyosis, which is going led into a full hysterectomy and the removal of large cysts. These conditions have spread to my uterus and bowels, and I am also facing kidney disease, liver issues, low oxygen levels, fibromyalgia, vasovagal syncope, severe weight loss, breast cysts, severe malnutrition, peptic ulcer disease, kidney stones, and cysts in both kidneys. The pain is constant and overwhelming, making it nearly impossible to eat, sit up, stand, or walk. I am mostly bedridden and now rely on a wheelchair. My heart sometimes stops for up to 13 seconds, and I have a loop recorder until I can get a pacemaker and ablation. I experience severe confusion and brain fog, which makes conversation difficult without the help of my fiancé, Jacob, who has become my full-time caregiver. Because I need someone with me 24/7 in case my heart stops or I stop breathing, Jacob cannot work. This has put a huge strain on our finances. Our money goes to medical supplies, prescriptions, and travel for care, since we don’t have a vehicle. We are struggling to keep up with bills, and we need help with lodging when I am hospitalized, as I require someone to help communicate with medical professionals and assist with daily needs. I am also starting palliative care soon, and I want to make sure that if the worst happens, my family isn’t burdened with funeral costs while they mourn. Thank you for being willing to be here for me in this stressful and scary time. I hope that in my life I have brought some joy or support to you. Even just sharing or visiting means so much to me. I am deeply grateful for any help, and I wish you a beautiful and full life.
