Darlene Hilton is our mother, and she has always been the heart of our family. Recently, we experienced a devastating loss—Christopher B. Hilton, her husband and our father, passed away. This has been an incredibly difficult time for all of us, especially for our mom as she faces the challenges of moving forward without her partner of 41 years by her side.

Our father was an astounding man. He started life working hard in construction, then took up the love of shrimping for Homosassa Seafood for most of our younger years. He then worked for 13 years running MacRae's Bait and Tackle, before returning to construction prior to his retirement. He had a deep love for music, and playing guitar is something we will never forget enjoying with him. He absolutely loved his family more than anything in the world. He was extremely creative, spending his spare time creating decorative nets, working on his home, and tending to his beautiful front yard. He had a big, wonderful family, and we all loved him dearly. He leaves behind his wife, our mother Darlene Hilton, his two daughters Sirbrenna Jeansonne and Katherine Hilton, their spouses Donald Jeansonne and Thomas Wilkinson, and his two grandchildren he adored, Parker and Haiden Jeansonne. He passed away at 64 of natural causes.

Our father had no life insurance, and both our parents survive off social security, leaving little room for extra expenses making this extra hard on our mother. We are raising funds to help Darlene take care of our father’s cremation and other funeral-related expenses. In addition, these funds will help support her with whatever she may need over the next few months as she settles into this new chapter and copes with the loss. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in helping her find some stability and comfort during this time.

Our mother is the most loving, caring, and kind woman, and we are all extremely thankful for any help our community has to offer, even if it’s just sharing our post. Thank you all for taking the time to read, and for showing love and care in our time of need.
