STORY

This school year Darla Tieszen encountered an unexpected medical emergency, which led to the discovery of cancerous cells. After tests were completed, they discovered a grade 4 Glioblastoma brain tumor. While doctors were able to remove the immediate concern, she will now be undergoing a series of treatments.  

BIO

   Darla and her husband Jeff have lived in the Central IL area with their family for many years. She has been a teacher in both Texas and Illinois, and has been teaching at Ingersoll Middle School  since 1998.  Darla’s classes focus on cooking, sewing, study skills, organization, and time management. She is a strong Christian and has a heart to share God’s love and kindness with everyone around her. Her kind heart and strong purpose shine brightly to everyone around her.
