My mom, Danuta Ruszczyk, had a sudden cardiac arrest and is now in the hospital in critical condition. Her liver and kidneys have started to fail, and things have taken a turn for the worse. My mom is my best friend and the backbone of our family. She held me and my daughter together so I could work and support our home. Now, in these hard and trying times, I have to keep it together for my daughter, who already lost her grandpa, and continue to support our household as a single parent on one income.

This all happened so suddenly. We were just talking, and the next second, she was gone. My mom watched my daughter so I could work and provide for us. She was everything to me—my support system and my strength. Losing both parents at their young old age is incredibly traumatic, and I am doing my best to hold on for my daughter and myself.

Funds raised will go toward funeral expenses, covering our basic needs, paying monthly bills, transportation, and therapy for my daughter while I miss work.
