Hi, my name is Ashanti, and I am raising funds in memory of my big brother, Dante. Our family is heartbroken by his unexpected passing, and we want to honor his life with the dignity, love, and respect he deserves. Dante was a caring, generous, and deeply loved man. Above all, he was a devoted father and stepfather to eight children who meant everything to him. He poured his heart into being there for them, sharing laughter, offering guidance, and showing up whenever they needed him. He was also a loving husband to his wife, Teresa, and the life they built together was filled with love, family, and memories that will always be cherished. Teresa and the children have lost someone who was the center of their world, and our family is doing everything we can to support them during this incredibly painful time.
Dante’s passing has also brought attention to something that is too often overlooked: mental health, especially in men. Many men grow up feeling like they must hide their emotions and carry their struggles silently to remain strong for their families. Because of this, depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges can go unnoticed and untreated. In some families, these struggles can also have genetic factors, which makes awareness, open conversations, and support even more important. We hope Dante’s story encourages people to check in on the men in their lives, listen without judgment, and remind them that they are not alone. Asking for help does not make someone weak, it takes strength.
As we navigate this painful time, we are hoping to raise funds to help cover the costs of Dante’s memorial service and related expenses, while also helping support Teresa and his children as they move forward without him. Any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this page, means more to us than words can express. Thank you for your compassion, prayers, and kindness as we honor Dante’s memory.
