On February 11, 2026, we lost our beloved Derra to cancer. She was a faithful and devoted wife of 21 years, as well as a kind and nurturing mother to our 4 beautiful, young children. Derra was a true light to all who had the privilege of being in her presence. She fought valiantly for over four years, showing incredible strength and grace every step of the way. Throughout her journey, our family was blessed by the support of so many who helped us cover medical expenses and offered encouragement during the most challenging times. Now, as we face life without her, my four children and I are learning to navigate a new reality filled with both grief and hope.

The funds raised through this new GoFundMe will help us address the immediate and ongoing needs that come with such a profound loss. We will use the support to pay any remaining medical debt, cover funeral expenses, invest in my children's long-term education, and provide counseling to help us process our grief. Additionally, I hope to create some special family bonding experiences that will help us heal together and honor Derra's memory in meaningful ways.

I am already incredibly grateful for all who have supported Derra's long and well-fought journey up until this point.
