Support for Danny Barr

Donation protected
This page has been created for my uncle, Danny Barr, who is currently battling stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma. He underwent 6 months of the harshest chemo regiment with no results or improvement. He became very weak after finishing the recommended amount of treatment and does not have the strength or desire to go through another course. There is a very small window of extended time given even if he did decide to go through another round of chemo. He has been given a 12 month prognosis with the progression of the disease (managed with some medications to counteract symptoms).

He became unable to conduct the duties of his employment following his chemo treatment, and has not had any income since the finish of his chemo. Hence, in order to pay his many medical bills he has blown through all of his savings. On top of this, my entire family has been touched by cancer and his parents are no longer with us due to that. His only living family is his son, who just got honorably discharged from the Air Force and moved to Arizona, as well as my mom, Sue Kuska.

His wish is to be able to remain in his apartment and provide for his daily needs. He'd like to do this so that he could be in a place that is comfortable to him so he doesn't have to go through the stresses of being somewhere foreign during this time. This account has been created in order to assist him have some source of income since he is unable to work. Along with his living situation, donations will also help him pay for the upcoming medical bills that he will get throughout the progression of this disease.

Latest Update:

On Friday March 13th, Danny passed away. We would like to thank everyone for there well wishes and donations that allowed him to stay in his apartment during this time. For those who checked up on his status often, know it did not go unnoticed and meant a lot to him that you cared.

There will be a burial held at Littleton Cemetery on Tuesday the 24th at 1:30 pm. As of yesterday they are not limiting the number of people allowed at the service, but I will update this page if that information is to change by then. Instead of flowers, etc. any further donations to this page would greatly help paying the remaining dues and Jeffco hospice, who carried out his home health care.

If anyone would like any further information please feel free to reach out to me using this page which is hooked up to my email. We genuinely appreciate the ongoing support and any donations you’re able to give to help us finalize his expenses during this time.

May the force be with you -Danny
