Our daughter Danika has been in the NICU/PICU for 303 days, and every day has brought new challenges for our family. Danika was born with tracheamalacia and other many health conditions, while being intubated so long she has also acquired chronic lung disease which means she needs constant medical care and support. Watching her fight so hard has been both inspiring and exhausting for us as parents.

Jaya and I have been doing everything we can to stay by Danika’s side, but it’s been difficult to keep up with the demands of daily life. Traveling back and forth in Seattle, paying for gas, food, and basic personal hygiene items has become a real struggle. We’re grateful for the incredible support we’ve received so far, but being far from home and away from family and friends makes this journey even harder some days.
