As many of you know, Danny has been courageously battling kidney disease for a long time. This week, our worst fears became reality. What began as flu-like symptoms quickly turned into something far more serious. After extensive testing, doctors discovered that Danny was septic, had suffered a brain bleed, and developed an abscess on his heart.
Because of these devastating complications — along with his underlying health issues — surgery is not an option.
Anyone who knows Danny knows the size of his heart. He is the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back, who shows up without being asked, who loves deeply and completely. Unfortunately, it is that very heart that is now failing him.
Danny is currently on a ventilator, giving family and friends precious time to gather, to say the words that matter, and to simply be by his side. Most of all, he loves his children more than anything in this world. Right now, our greatest wish is to bring his kids to him — to give them the chance to hold his hand, to tell him they love him, and to be together as a family during this unimaginable time.
We are asking for your help to make that possible. Travel expenses and related costs add up quickly, and any contribution — no matter how small — will go directly toward getting his children to his bedside.
If you are able to give, please know that you are giving more than money. You are giving a family time. You are giving children moments they will carry with them forever.
Thank you for your love, your prayers, and your support during this heartbreaking time.
