Our family is asking for support during one of the most difficult and unexpected moments we have ever faced. On July 7th, our stepdad, Daniel Tirado Pantoja, was detained by ICE while he was on his way to work in construction, as he did every morning to provide for his family. Daniel is not just a worker—he is a provider, the head of his household, a father, a son, and a brother. He is someone who has always carried the responsibility of caring for the people he loves. He has worked hard every day to support his family, take care of my mom, provide for his son who lives here, and continue helping his relatives in Mexico. His sudden detention has changed everything for our family. A normal morning of going to work and providing for his loved ones became a moment of fear, uncertainty, and heartbreak. His absence has left a huge emotional and financial impact on the people who depend on him and love him. Daniel was among the men detained on July 7th in the ICE incident that has affected many families and our community. Behind every person detained is a family, a story, and loved ones who are now facing the challenges that come with this situation.
