It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this. As most of you already know, our good friend Daniel Ray was diagnosed with stage 4 bile duct cancer just a few short weeks ago. Daniel is a fighter, and although he did what he could, the aggressive disease was too much for his body to handle. Before we could all wrap our heads around what was happening, our dear friend lost the battle in the early hours on May 4th, less than a month after recieving the devastating diagnosis. As you can imagine, this has been toughest on his wife, Valerie, as well as his closest family members and friends. As Daniel has been unable to work and Val has been his around the clock caregiver, their finances have suffered. This is one family that I know personally has given to so many without ever asking for anything in return. Whether it be money, a home, or even just a meal, the Rays have gratiously been there for every one of their friends in need over the years. It is now our turn to be there for them. I know that not everyone is in a position to give. We appreciate all that you may be able to do to help their family during this difficult time. For those of you that have been praying, it has been much appreciated and please continue to keep Val and the rest of Daniels family in your thoughts as they grieve the loss of this wonderful man we have all been lucky to call our friend.
