My name is Carlos Moreno. My father, Daniel Moreno, passed away on October 17th, 2025 due to complications from contracting a virus two weeks prior.

Despite his best efforts towards recovery, the virus spread rapidly, starting with his left arm, until it disabled his entire body, losing the ability to speak and walk, along with the decline of his cognitive abilities. My siblings, Alejandro and Victoria, assisted my father every step of the way towards his recovery, but his condition evolved and worsened day by day. At the hospital, complications lead to further issues within his internal organs, fighting through heart attacks and enduring resuscitations. His time to rest from his suffering had come and he passed away at the age of 68.

My father had a great sense of humor, was a father of 4 kids, and loved spending time with his family. He loved philosophy, playing guitar, and watching Keane Reeves movies. He lived a simple life, retiring to Mexico in August 2019.
