On Saturday, October 18, 2025, our family experienced an unimaginable loss. Daniel Mendez, born November 9, 2017, was a sweet and caring boy who loved playing outside and looking after his older brother, Adrian, and his baby sister. Daniel’s joyful spirit touched everyone who knew him, and his absence leaves a deep void in our hearts.

Daniel and Adrian were involved in a tragic accident while on a weekend vacation with family friends. While we mourn Daniel’s passing, Adrian is still recovering from his injuries in Austin. The family is facing significant challenges, including funeral expenses for Daniel and ongoing medical costs for Adrian’s care. The accident happened far from home, adding travel and unexpected costs to an already difficult time.
