Dani Polowski's Battle With CF
As most of you know, Dani has a condition called Cystic Fibrosis.
CF is a life-long condition affecting the lungs, digestive system, and other organs.
It has not been an easy road for Dani and she has battled through countless infections and hospital stays but she has fought and come through every time.
On June 30th Dani and her partner Cass received the heartbreaking news that her lungs were no longer able to function on their own and a lung transplant would be the only option. She was airlifted from Saskatoon to Edmonton to await the perfect donor.
Dani is currently on a machine that oxygenizes her blood but they have been informed that this machine can only function for three weeks. If a donor is not found, they will not be able to keep her alive past July 21st.
We are raising funds to assist with any medical and travel expenses. Hotels and travel from Saskatoon to Edmonton and back will add up very quickly for Cass and he would like to be able to remain with Dani through this process. This also means time off work and expenses for their current home in Saskatoon that still need to be paid. If lungs are found for Dani it will be a minimum 6 month recovery in Edmonton which will mean more expenses.
Please help Dani, Cass and family. Any amount helps and it would mean the world to not have to worry about finances during such a stressful time.
