MAY 2020: Within a span of 5 days, Dan Curran suffered two consecutive strokes, endured an invasive neurosurgery, and faced damages to 8 different areas of his brain. Unfortunately, complications from these injuries soon led to his decline into a semi-comatose state. Despite this, Dan’s condition was incorrectly reported by hospital staff as “alert and responsive” to an insurance representative, which effectively ended any insurance coverage of Dan’s medical expenses.
As a result, Dan's wife, Barbara, is paying out-of-pocket for her husband’s medical care, including expensive medications, equipment, and $150/hr for at-home nursing assistance. She is his only caregiver, and cannot afford to get a nurse to watch her husband during the day, and therefore cannot resume her job as an Electronic Technician. Please help Barbara keep her head above water as she faces overwhelming medical expenses and fights for her husband’s well-being.
