Support for Dallas Goss and his family

Hi my name is Innes (Dallas's wife) I am fundraising for Dallas and family .

Dallas was diagnosed with Brian tumor last year September (2022) called Vestibular schwannoma (32mm) without hydrocephalus on his right .Treatment offered-options of radiosurgery versus surgery discussed, recommended surgery. He had done a lot of deep sea diving and spear fishing off the coast of Mozambique years back .And recently moved into the UK with family. He was giving history of gradually worsening hearing on his right side ,associated with some imbalance and intermittent vertigo over the past few years ,his hearing continued to worsen .

On examination he had a mild right sided facial weakness. He had sensorineural hearing loss on his right side .Other cranial nerves were normal and there was no cerebellar signs. MRI of his brain was done in Bishop Auckland General Hospital on the 27/9/22 showed a 32mm mixed density lesion in the right CP angle indenting the cerebellum and middle cerebellar peduncle without causing hydrocephalus. It had reached the size where it was indenting on his brain stem .Surgery was done on the 8th of December 2022 at James cook Hospital Middlesbrough, and surgery was a success but suffered infection and other issues,he was then done a shunt surgery on the 25th of January 2023 and is currently recovering from both surgerys .With him told he was unable to go back to work, recovery period would take about 6 months to a year and myself his wife having to reduce my work hours to help and support him with his recovery, we have reached a point that we are now asking for help . we would really appreciate any help to get us through this difficult time. Dallas is good man,father and husband with a heart of gold .He always put everyone s needs first, hard working,very loyal and good friend to many your support/help would be much appreciated.
