Dakota's family means the world to me. They have three beautiful children—a 3-year-old daughter, a 20-month-old son, and a 5-month-old baby boy named Roderick, who was born with a rare heart defect called TGA. Since his birth on August 3rd, Roderick has been receiving constant medical care. The journey has been incredibly tough, and there is still a long road ahead. The family must travel three hours for regular medical visits, and Roderick's father often has to miss work to be there for his son. With Roderick's surgery coming up in January, the family will need to take even more time off, all while the bills continue to pile up. On top of everything, they face the added expense of staying away from home during treatments and are working hard to fix their house to make it safe and healthy for their children.
