Daisha Quale is a 37yr old wife, mother, stepmother, daughter, sister, friend, and believer in God.
Daisha had a sore throat that was not going away so she went to see her doctor on July 13th for what she thought was symptoms of strep throat. The strep test was negative, but because her throat physically looked sore, she was prescribed a steroid to help reduce the symptoms. As a few days passed, Daisha seemed to be getting better until she got worse. She decided she better go back to the doctor to get it checked again. That appointment was the morning of July 20th. Her throat was so sore it was difficult for her to swallow. The clinic took some labs and a sample of her throat that day and told her she needs to get to the hospital right away. She was admitted immediately for more testing. On Wednesday, July 20th, 2021, Daisha was diagnosed with AML Leukemia.
As you can imagine this type of news is devastating.
Daisha is a stay-at-home mom of Lily 11, Johnny 8, Charles 5, and stepmom to Karson 15. She takes care of the house, the bills, the children, the pets, the meals, the schooling and activities for the kids, as well as the vehicles, and yard work.
This diagnosis has really shaken the whole Quale family, making it hard on the kids and especially her husband, Mike, who works more than full time hours to provide for the family and their needs. He simply cannot do everything financially now that he needs time off to help with her medical needs, the kids, and keeping up the house as Daisha will be in the hospital for up to 6 weeks receiving inpatient chemotherapy with a high possibility of a stem cell transplant after that. If she is well enough to receive the transplant, she will be moved to a specialized hospital with a 150-day hospitalization and other unknown future tests, procedures, hospital stays, and travel expenses to the transplant facility. This burden is far too much for any family to bare alone. If you feel led to support the Quale family financially or with Prayer, we would love to bless them in any way possible.
