I vividly recall the day Daesha returned from a Bible Bowl, bubbling with excitement about an old friend named Paul. It was evident that she found him intriguing in a way she never noticed before. Another friend witnessed their connection firsthand over a lunch filled with laughter. As time passed, their bond blossomed into love, culminating in a magical proposal during a trip to Israel. In September of 2021, they exchanged vows, sealing their commitment to each other.

In recent months, I've enjoyed getting to know Paul more. Through shared experiences and conversations, I've come to admire his kindness, humor, and eloquence. His presence has brought immeasurable joy to Daesha's life, revitalizing her spirit in ways I never thought possible.

Paul once expressed gratitude for my role in Daesha's newest career opportunity, but the truth is, it's him I'm thankful for. His unwavering love and support have brought endless smiles to Daesha's face, igniting a newfound sense of vitality within her.

Unfortunately, Paul has been courageously battling pancreatic cancer for over 3 years, and despite his incredible strength, the journey is drawing to a close.
