Help My Dad Rebuild After Life-Changing Surgery
Our family is asking for help for someone who would never ask for it himself—my dad, Fritz "Bo".
Recently, my dad underwent a major 8-hour aortobifemoral bypass surgery in hopes of restoring blood flow to his legs. Unfortunately, complications after surgery led to a lack of circulation, and he ultimately had to have his leg amputated. It has been an incredibly difficult journey for him and for our family.
Right now, his recovery has been slower than expected because he has a sore on the stump that has not yet healed, which has delayed the process of being fitted for a prosthetic leg. Because of this, he has not been able to return to work.
My dad has always been one of the hardest-working and most humble people you will ever meet. He’s the type of person who shows up for others, works hard, and never asks for anything in return. Asking for help like this is something he would never do himself—but right now he truly needs support.
If you know my dad, you know how much he loves fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. One of his biggest motivations is his 5-year-old granddaughter, and his greatest hope is to regain his strength and mobility so he can get back to making memories with her—whether that’s going outside together, fishing, or simply being the active grandpa he has always been.
The funds raised will help support:
Medical and recovery expenses
Everyday living costs while he cannot work
The continued care needed so he can eventually be fitted for a prosthetic and regain mobility
Any donation, no matter the size, will help lift some of the burden during this incredibly challenging time. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser would mean so much to our family.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers as my dad continues his journey toward healing and hope.
