Support Robert Link's Medical Crisis and Recovery

Our family is facing an incredibly difficult situation. My dad Robert Link, who is the main provider and works tirelessly six days a week to support his household has been hospitalized since Wednesday, April 9th.

He underwent a Fem-to-Fem bypass on March 20th, and after a seemingly successful follow-up on April 7th, he was readmitted on April 9th with a severe infection.

On April 11th, he underwent emergency surgery to remove the bypass, which his body rejected. The infection had caused extensive tissue damage, resulting in a large, open wound. Doctors had to remove a significant amount of dead tissue.

The biggest concern now is the severely reduced blood flow in his leg, which has reverted to only 20%. The doctors are unsure if they can restore adequate circulation due to the extent of the damage. The long-term implications are devastating, potentially leading to the loss of his leg.

He is expected to be out of work for at least 12 weeks, but there’s a real possibility he may never be able to return to his physically demanding job. He cannot be discharged from the hospital until he can walk laps, but the significant swelling at and around the wound site and also down both legs is currently preventing that.

With my dad unable to work, the family is going to struggle to meet basic needs. Their mortgage is $1550 a month, and the limited savings they do have will not last long.

They are facing mounting medical expenses and the burden of regular monthly bills. I am reaching out for financial assistance during this incredibly challenging time for my dad and mom.
