There are alot of you who know and have met my parents at some point in life. Those of you who have not, I truly wish you could. They are two of the most loving and dedicated people I know. Unfortunately my dad has dealt with many health issues over the years but has always managed to keep his spirits high and look for God to help get him through everything. A couple years ago he was diagnosed with a non cancerous tumor that is near his brain and is pushing up against his left ear causing hearing loss, loss of balance and now vertigo. Its caused by "Cerebral Small Vessel Disease". This alone has impacted his ability to work properly which has resulted in losing jobs and having to find others. He's currently in Midland Texas with my mom after moving from Washington State. His new job has put him on Administrative Leave without Pay (3 weeks now) until he has the answers they want from doctors due to all of his diagnosis. It causes him to fall asleep anywhere, he goes into these episodes where he doesn't talk, eat, but just exist. He has fallen multiple times do to the balance and vertigo. His neurologist wants to wait another year to see if it grows before deciding on surgery. Alot of damage can happen in a year and his ability to work will become less and less. If he looses his job then he will also lose his insurance and will have no way to continue dr appointments or any treatment to get better. They will also lose their house. They have applied for certain government assistance programs but are waiting on answers.
My parents aren't ones to ask for help and never have been which is why I am creating this. I've debated on doing this for awhile but didn't want to put there story out there. Unfortunately, things don't seem to be getting better as of now and I think it's time to ask.
I am asking for help to keep them on their feet until he gets some answers. If he were to lose his job, the money would also be used to get them back home closer to us. I appreciate you taking the time to read this and learn my dad's story. Please share with anyone you know that may have known my parents at one point.
