Hello everyone, as most of you know I am Jody & Deb Dyer's daughter Brenda.

My dad Jody Dyer was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer at the beginning of summer we did know how bad it was until at least a month after he was diagnosed and even then we thought we had a little more time with him. Over the last 2 weeks it's been so hard for my dad to breathe on his own and it's been hard for him to even move or eat due to all the chemo and his body just getting weaker.

It was so hard for my family to watch and take care of him as the cancer spread. My mom was his main caregiver so she didn't work as my dad was the main provider for her and himself.

He's been off work since right after he was diagnosed so they had nothing saved and he had no life insurance my mom is struggling to pay for his cremation and funeral. He officially passed on his 61st birthday which is 9/28/24.

Anyone who knew my dad knew how loving he was and how much he loved his family, friends and grand babies. He had 12 grand babies that he loved more than anything and he sure was the best grandpa there ever was. He loved being outside fishing, camping, riding quads, fixing his trucks and fixing his loved ones vehicles. He was the man that was always there when you were in need, he was just a call away and he was there. ‍ He absolutely loved Bald eagles and wolves. He was definitely a free spirit.

My dad spent almost 30 years working for Gee Orchards in Bailey, MI where he loved his jobs and his bosses became like family to us. He was there go to guy also for anything they needed there and he did it with a smile on his face. My brothers and I spent so much time there with him and we loved going to work with dad growing up. He was just an incredible man all the way around.

We are absolutely heartbroken and at a loss on how to come up with everything we need to give my dad a proper send off. Absolutely anything helps and is greatly appreciated.

We will update when the funeral date and time is when we get it more figured out.
