My dad has been bravely battling cancer, and although his diagnosis didn’t give him much time, he’s still here with us, fighting every day. This journey has been incredibly tough, not just emotionally but financially as well. The ongoing treatments and hospital visits have left my dad and stepmom with a mountain of medical bills, and my dad’s health issues have made it nearly impossible for him to work consistently.

Recently, things became even more challenging when my stepmom was admitted to the hospital for over a week. She’s now struggling to breathe and requires full-time oxygen, and we’re unsure when she’ll be able to come home or what her health will look like when she does. This has stopped her from working entirely, adding even more financial strain and medical expenses. To make matters worse, their car broke down this week, forcing them to pay for a rental car just so my dad can get to work and visit my stepmom in the hospital.
