David “Chip” King was born in Minneapolis and throughout his life he touched the hearts of so many. From childhood through adulthood, he built lifelong friendships rooted in loyalty, laughter, and genuine care. He was the kind of friend who checked in, remembered the little things, and showed up when it mattered. If you were Chip’s friend, you were his friend for life. He loved adventure and the outdoors, traveling to places like Mongolia, Alaska, and New Zealand, and embracing the beauty of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes through his passion for fishing. He found joy in simple moments — cooking, gardening, dancing while grilling, going to the beach, and being surrounded by the people he loved.

Chip created a beautiful family in Mexico with Cristy and their beloved son, William. As a husband, he was kind, protective, and deeply devoted. He cherished Cristy, always ready to take a walk with her, dance with her, or simply enjoy being together. Their love was full of warmth and partnership. As a father, William was his pride and greatest joy. He spoke of him constantly and celebrated every milestone. One of his favorite phrases was, “Let’s go play frisbee,” and those playful moments were among his happiest. He was also a devoted son, brother, and uncle, holding a special love for his mom, his siblings, and his niece, London. Even in his final days, his generosity continued through the gift of organ donation — a reflection of the giving heart he carried his entire life.

During this incredibly difficult time, we are asking for support to help with funeral expenses and to provide stability for Cristy and William as they navigate life without him.
