*** We have found another Trial though the Virginia Cancer Specialists and are waiting for the spot to be confirmed. With luck Cristy should / could be receiving the meds by the end of August. We will have to do the same type of hoop jumping to prepare for it.

*** July 13th Update: Unfortunately the lesions have grown more than 20% and Cristy was removed from the clinical trial at NIH. We're not sure where we go from here but are pursuing options.

Cristy Dunn has been battling Stage 4 Leiomyosarcoma Cancer for over two years. There is no cure, and the journey has been incredibly difficult for our family. In July of 2025, Cristy underwent surgery to remove a tumor the size of an adult brain, but by then, the cancer had already spread to her liver and abdominal wall. Standard treatments have stopped working, and she is now participating in a Cancer Trial at NIH as a last effort to contain the disease. The trial requires frequent travel and appointments, adding to the financial and emotional strain.

I am James Dunn, a Marine Corps veteran experiencing early onset Parkinson's symptoms related to the Camp Lejeune Groundwater Act. Over the past two years, I have been caring for Cristy while also supporting my Disabled Veteran father, who sadly passed away during the holidays from Agent Orange related cancer. The loss of my father's financial help, combined with the impact of losing my sales rep job due to the economy, has left our family struggling to pay for basic living expenses and mounting medical bills. Our 10-year-old daughter, Katerina, is also affected by these challenges.
