Support for Cowdy and Annika

Recently a very good mate of mine Clint Sheppard (Cowdy) found out some devastating news that his wife Annika has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Horrible news, hard to fathom and I still shake my head in disbelief!
For those that know Cowdy and Annika, they’re ripper people and you’ll go a bloody long way to find better friends. They have two beautiful kids, 4yr old Abby and 15mth old Jack. It’s time to come together and help these guys out.
So what can we do to help? Lend a hand if needed, be there for a chat if/when required……but right now we can make things a little bit easier for them by raising some money to help out with medical bills, day to day life, even allowing them dinner at the pub or something nice for the kids without having to worry about where the next bill is coming from.
As some of you may know I’m doing the Gold Coast marathon on the first weekend in July and I want to use this as a platform to start raising them some money. Most of my mates think I’m no chance to finish the 42km's (and rightly so!). The run isn’t going to be easy but absolutely pales in comparison to what Cowdy and Annika are going through, and what they’ll have to go through, in the future.
To all of my family, my friends, my friend's families, the extended family at the Sandgate Hawks Footy Club and generally anyone you know that can spare a few dollars, however small, the below link is to a gofundme page set up to help.
As mentioned, it will help them with anything they see fit to use it on, to hopefully makes things a little easier. It’s the least we can all do when horrible times like this hits someone close.
