On March 18th, 2026 at 7:06 PM, we lost my sister, Courtney Sprague, to liver failure at just 36 years old.
Our hearts are completely shattered.
Courtney was a beautiful soul, a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She always put others before herself and brought so much kindness and love to everyone around her.
Even in her darkest moments, she stayed strong.
Over the past months, my mom became her full-time caregiver. She drove Courtney to appointment after appointment across Colorado, doing everything she possibly could to save her daughter. She gave everything she had physically, emotionally, and mentally just to keep her here with us.
Now she comes home to a quiet, empty house… without her daughter.
Our entire family showed up for Courtney we did everything we could, but no one carries this kind of heartbreak like a mother does. My mom never left her side. She was there through every moment, holding onto hope until the very end.
During this time, my mom has not been able to work to take care of her daughter, creating overwhelming financial strain on top of unimaginable grief.
We have all done everything we can to support Courtney and each other, but we are now facing hardships we cannot carry alone.
The day before Courtney passed, my mom’s car was totaled in an accident. In the middle of losing her daughter, she also lost her only transportation.
Now our family is facing everything at once the cost of laying Courtney to rest, the sudden loss of income, and the urgent need for reliable transportation.
No parent should ever have to bury their child. No mother should have to feel this kind of pain.
We are asking for help to support our family during the most devastating time of our lives.
Donations will go toward:
• Funeral and memorial expenses
• Transportation (replacing a totaled car)
• Helping my mom stay afloat while she grieves and tries to heal
If you’re unable to donate, please share. That alone means more than you know.
Anything helps, no matter how small.
Thank you for your love, support, and kindness during this time.
