Our friend Marcel Maillet passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind his wife Courtney and their two daughters here in Norwell. The loss has been devastating, and Courtney faces an incredibly difficult road ahead trying to maintain continuity for the girls: Charley (15) and Skylar (12).

Many members of our community have been asking how they can support the Maillet family during this difficult time. This page has been created to support them as they face the challenges ahead. The Maillets love being part of the Norwell community, and have built wonderful friendships at school, on the soccer field, the lacrosse and softball fields and beyond. Anyone who knows Courtney knows her warmth and her strength, and how she always shows up for the people around her. Now, the family is facing an incredibly difficult journey.

The emotional, physical and financial demands of Marcel’s passing are significant, and any contribution–regardless of size–will help ease some of the burden. Courtney is carrying profound grief and real financial uncertainty at the same time. As she prepares to take on an even greater share of their household’s responsibilities, the support of the community would mean so much as they navigate the road ahead.
