Since 2017, Cory Dixon has served with dedication and professionalism as a Port Inspection Diver at Fleet Diving Unit Atlantic, committing himself to protecting others through his demanding and often dangerous work. In December, Cory and his wife, Emily Konings, received the devastating news that Emily had been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Emily is a emergency room nurse at the Cobequid Community Health Centre, where she has devoted herself to caring for others in their most critical moments — and now she faces the fight of her own life.

As they begin this unexpected and challenging journey, they are also caring for their beautiful 8-month-old son, Maverick, who depends on them both every day. Between medical treatments, travel, time away from work, and the emotional and financial strain that comes with a cancer diagnosis, the burden is immense. This fundraiser is intended to support Cory, Emily, and baby Maverick by helping ease medical and living expenses so they can focus fully on Emily’s recovery and the strength of their young family.
