Support for Cory and Remembering Daniel

With broken hearts and tear filled eyes, we are sad to announce that on December 27, 2023 Daniel Phillips lost his battle with mental health.

Born in Victoria, BC, on November 12, 2007, Daniel has been raised by his dad, Cory Phillips, since only 9 months old. He spent time in both BC and Alberta. Although Alberta is where he called home, he always remembered and spoke about BC, where he came from.

His main loves were rodeo and anything with a motor! His dad was his best friend, his rock and who he looked up to the most.

Life has been absolutely flipped upside down for Cory, as he has devoted his entire life to his son. If you know Cory, you know his world was Daniel and being the best father to him. Cory will need to take some time off work to grieve, cope and make plans for laying his son to rest. This next little bit will be very hard, and so we are hoping to raise some funds with the support of family and friends so Cory does not have to feel a financial burden at this time.

At Cory’s request, we ask that he please be allowed some time and space to navigate this tough time. He appreciates everyone’s love and support.

Daniel, you fought hard but you chose to find peace for yourself, and knowing you are no longer suffering will give your dad strength. Be at peace Daniel
