Hi everyone,
Some of you may already know, but I wanted to share that my partner, Corey, has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor.
We’ll be heading to Melbourne on Tuesday, 5 August, as Corey is scheduled to undergo brain surgery the following day. The procedure comes with a minimum six-week recovery period off work, and Corey will also be unable to drive for 3–6 months during his recovery.
Unfortunately, Corey does not have access to sick leave and is ineligible for government or superannuation support, leaving us in a financially vulnerable position at an already stressful time.
We’re reaching out to ask for help from our community—any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward covering essential expenses including:
- Day-to-day bills
- Medical costs
- Travel and accommodation related to treatment
- Potential ongoing treatments following surgery
At this stage, we are still waiting for further clarity on the type of tumor and what treatment might be needed after the operation.
