Support for Cordelia: A Corgi in Need of Leg-Saving Surgery
Donation protected
Merry Christmas, everyone.
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my daughter Jordan and her sweet Corgi, Cordelia. For the past two years, Cordelia has been a source of immense joy and comfort in Jordan's life, especially during some very challenging times.
Sadly, we recently experienced a heartbreaking accident when a car struck Cordelia outside our home and fled the scene. As a result, Cordelia has suffered a severe break to her leg and paw. Thankfully, we’re fortunate to live near an incredible emergency veterinary hospital, where they’ve been able to manage her pain. However, in order to reconstruct her leg with rods and pins, the cost will be between $8,000 and $10,000.
Cordelia came into Jordan's life at a time when she was struggling with the loss of her best friend to suicide. She has been a bright light and a source of healing for Jordan through some of her darkest moments. As a full-time master’s student in youth counseling and a part-time mental health peer specialist, Jordan’s income is limited, and she simply doesn't have the financial means to cover such a large expense.
We’re desperately trying to avoid having to amputate Cordelia’s leg, especially since she’s not even 2 years old yet and has so much life ahead of her. Any donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated and will go directly toward Cordelia’s medical care.
Thank you so much for considering helping us during this difficult time.
