A young family that I know recently experienced a tragic loss: the accidental death of the husband and father, Cesar Jose Siso Barcelo.
Cesar Jose Siso Barcelo, age 40, died in Easley, South Carolina, where he and his family had recently relocated from Chicago. He is survived by his wife, Consuela, and his three children. He was a wonderful father and very involved in his children's lives, taking them to their doctor appointments and working hard to provide for them.
Cesar had only been working for his company for three weeks when he was electrocuted while working on remodeling a local Walmart. He was taken to the hospital, where he died on June 24, 2026. The incident remains under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Cesar was a master electrician. He met his wife, Consuela, while in college, and they had been married for 18 years. Consuela has been a stay-at-home mom caring for their three young children. One of the children has asthma, and another is autistic. Both require medications.
Consuela must now raise her three children without the love of her life, Cesar. Since Cesar had just recently begun working at his new job, there was no life insurance. Until she can get on her feet, she will need financial help. That's where you come in! The funds raised during this critical time are to pay for the basics: rent, utilities, medicine, and food for Consuela and the children.
Thank you so much for reading about the struggle that Consuela is going through. There are several ways that you can help.
First off is prayer. I can't even imagine how crushing it is to lose your best friend so suddenly.
Secondly, financially! A donation of any size will help. My goal is to help Consuela by meeting the family's basic needs for three months as she searches for a job and day care for the three children.
Thirdly, by sharing this post!
I know that my friends have big hearts. I also know that money doesn't go as far as it used to, and a lot of people are feeling the pinch. If you can and feel led to donate, thank you. I so appreciate any gift that will help this young family make it through the next few months!
