Artist & Youth Mentor, Rob Tobin, Needs Our Help

Hello Friends!

 

I'm setting up this page to help our dear friend Rob Tobin with some upcoming medical and recovery costs related to surgery for prostate cancer.

 

I've been friends with Rob for 25 years, and he has given so much to others - through his art, his heart, and his wisdom. He's been a mentor to countless youth...and adults!! He has brought so many of us a sense of wonder through his creativity and laughter with his wit and humor. His impact on others is as big as his heart and creative talent.

 

Like many working artists, he's a gig worker without employer-based healthcare benefits. He has insurance, but it doesn't nearly cover the surgery costs and recovery time. I'm hoping we can rally around him and give him some of the same love and support he has given to all of us and so many youth in our community.

 

I’m setting a goal of raising $12,000 to cover a portion of medical costs not covered by insurance and for post-surgery recovery while he’s unable to work on his large-scale community art projects, mentoring youth, or his personal art pieces. Rob lives from project to project, paycheck to paycheck, so any money raised will go a long way in reducing his stress and financial burden so he can focus on his health and recovery.
