Support for Comicality's Mother in a Very Difficult Time

Donation protected
As most people visiting the page will know, the man we all knew as "Comicality" from the late '90s on, passed away recently of liver failure after well over a year of struggling with his intermittently failing health. Comicality, Comsie, Comet, Com... what ever nick name you knew him by, was a household name to an entire community of survivors, and one of the most selfless people I ever knew.

After leaving his home in Chicago, Comsie moved south to be closer to family and ended out teaming up with his mother prior to the pandemic outbreak, which could not have been better timed. Throughout his health struggles, I took comfort in knowing that his mother was right there with him and that it could have been much worse had he been alone in the windy city. This past year, after working together with him for 6 years on his community based magazine, I needed to become more directly involved to assist with some technical issues he was having around two of his final hospitalizations. A task I would drop everything and do again without even a second thought. Thankfully this put me in a unique position to be on his mother's radar, and to be one of the few that were allowed to know that on April 16th, we lost the brightest light on our horizon forever.

This of course was not something we were prepared for. Ourselves and the many projects and unfinished stories he left behind, coupled with the reduced income to their household due to donations and ebook sales that are being worked on to recover, without luck yet, make this situation difficult but not impossible. Not only is Comicality's mother now only supporting the same house with a reduced income but, she has the expense of his final affairs to contend with, a burden some have expressed a desire to help with. So with her consent, I would like to start this fund raising effort, naming her as the beneficiary so we can all pitch in a little to help out a man who gave us many years of friendship, by supporting the woman who was that rock for him. Efforts are being put in to resume the dispersement of ebook sales and donation monies to her as well. Thanks for your help, your friendship, your thoughts, and prayers. May the light that his presence in our lives ignited, burn hot and bright well beyond our time on this earth. May one of my most treasured friends and adopted brother rest in peace.
