Colton Lewis’s life changed suddenly when he began experiencing severe jaw pain on Wednesday. After a visit to the ER on Friday, he was diagnosed with cellulitis and sent home with antibiotics and pain medication. Unfortunately, his condition worsened by Saturday, and a repeat CT scan revealed an abscess surrounding his jaw. The local hospital felt his case was too complex, so he was transferred to a larger hospital in Temple for urgent surgery. On Sunday, doctors drained the abscess and started him on IV antibiotics. He still has a drain in place and will need to stay on antibiotics until further notice. His recovery is day by day, and even when he returns home, he’ll need to take it easy for a while. He will also have future follow-up doctor appointments as part of his recovery. Through it all, his wife Allyson hasn’t left his side, providing constant support and care.
This has been a frightening and stressful time for Colton’s family. As the sole provider for his wife and three children, his inability to work has created a financial strain. The funds raised will help cover mounting medical bills, lost wages, future follow-up doctor appointments, and provide support for his family while he focuses on healing.
Any help is appreciated and prayers are always needed. We want to thank everyone for any support they can provide at this time. Your kindness will make a real difference for a family facing an unexpected crisis.
