Dear friends, we are reaching out to share the heartbreaking journey of our beloved nephew, Collin, who is now in hospice care, facing the final stages of his battle with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS). His parents, Kathleen (Kate) and Greg, need our support during this incredibly difficult time.
Collin was diagnosed with leukemia at just 2.5 years old, and the chemotherapy led to LGS, a severe form of epilepsy. He has endured numerous surgeries and daily seizures that have deeply impacted his ability to communicate and experience the joys of childhood. Kate made the difficult decision to leave her career to care for Collin full-time, which has placed a tremendous financial strain on their family due to escalating medical expenses. After his recent brain surgery, with over a month in ICU, they now have a tremendous amount of new bills coming in on top of the ones they have, and are facing both emotional and financial challenges, including rising medical bills, care costs, and funeral expenses.
Collin has been disabled since childhood, and Kate and Greg have sacrificed so much for him. Now, they need the support of our community. This campaign is meant to help ease the financial burdens as Kate and Greg prepare to say goodbye to Collin. Kate and Greg are incredibly prideful and would never ask for help themselves, but as their family, we want to rally support for them in this heartbreaking time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will allow them to focus on cherishing Collin’s life and supporting each other. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign. Every penny will go directly to Kate and Greg. Let’s come together to support them in their time of need.
