Our sweet friend Colleen is currently in the hospital facing a life-threatening condition called an aortic dissection. This came on suddenly, and right now she is under close medical care, waiting to learn if she will need emergency surgery. The uncertainty is overwhelming—but we are believing God is holding her every step of the way.
Just last Friday, Colleen made a beautiful and life-changing decision—she was baptized. In a moment that now feels incredibly significant, she publicly gave her life to Christ… and only days later, she is walking through one of the most difficult battles of her life. We hold onto the promise that she is not alone. “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1
Colleen does not have family here in Arizona, and many of us have become her support system during this time. She has been working multiple jobs just to cover rent and basic living expenses, and unfortunately, she does not have health insurance. Now, as she faces a potential emergency surgery and a long road to recovery, the financial burden is something she simply cannot carry on her own.
We are asking for help to support Colleen with emergency medical care, possible surgery, hospital stay and recovery expenses, as well as rent and basic living needs while she is unable to work. Colleen is one of the most kind-hearted, hardworking people you will ever meet. She shows up for others without hesitation, and now it’s our turn to show up for her.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
If you feel led to give, any amount will make a difference. And if you’re unable to donate, we ask for your prayers—for healing, peace, and strength. Please also consider sharing this with others so we can surround Colleen with love, support, and faith during this critical time. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus.
