Our family is heartbroken by the sudden loss of Cody Morgan Smith, who was just 38 years old. Cody was a devoted father, loving husband, and a true friend to so many. He was incredibly smart, had a wonderful sense of humor, and his quick wit could always bring a smile to those around him. Above all, Cody had the biggest heart, always ready to help others and share a laugh.

A week ago, Cody went missing, and the outpouring of support from family, friends, and the community has been overwhelming. So many people joined in the search, both physically and by sharing posts across social media. The love, prayers, and encouragement we received have meant the world to us during this incredibly difficult time.

We are raising funds to help Cody’s sister travel from the Azores to be with family and attend the funeral, as well as to assist with other funeral expenses. The funeral date is still being arranged, and any support will help ease the financial burden on our family as we come together to honor Cody’s memory. We are deeply grateful for every act of kindness and support shown to us, and we thank everyone who has stood by our side.
