The Bashir family was traveling to work at Chobani, on Saturday, March 8, 2025, when they experienced a very serious car accident. Haga, Koudi, Youma, and Sharif were all injured.

Haga and Youma are still recovering at the St. Luke's rehabilitation facility.

We are so tremendously sad to say that Koudi, who was only 26 years old, has succumbed to the injuries he suffered in the accident and passed away while a patient at Upstate Medical Center. Koudi was a wonderful son and brother. He worked hard and helped to support his family.

We, the friends of this wonderful family, who is led by Haga, a single mother, ask that if you are able, please consider donating to help them recover and return to their jobs and their Utica Community. Haga is a proud homeowner, she and her kids who work with her at Chobani, all contribute to the household.

They truly need help from their dear friends and the community as they grieve the loss of their Koudi, who was so beloved by his mother and siblings.
