Support for Coach Tony
Hi everyone,
First I would like to thank everybody who has supported Tony and our family during what was and continues to be, a very trying time. Tony has finally come home after almost a month!
Here is the update: In early December Tony’s car broke down so he got a rental car because he had planned to drive down to Florida for a vacation. On his way to Florida he got into an accident while driving through Georgia. The car was totaled. Tony had to spend a few days in a hotel there, while trying to get the rental
car fixed to resume his trip to Florida. In
those few days at the hotel, Tony started to
feel very weak, somewhat confused, with an overall lack of energy. It wasn’t until he could
barely keep his eyes open, he finally called
911. Almost immediately after being admitted Tony called to let me know he had been
diagnosed with COVID-19. Initially they told
him after some fluids and some medicine he
would return home in three days. Within two of those days, I got the dreaded call he was in
ICU. He was in ICU almost a week and by the
grace of God, his determination and all of
your support and prayers he was returned to a normal floor. He was stable enough to be
discharged but not strong enough to be alone. With the help of an Uber driver getting him in the hotel room, Tony was out at last. However, now that he was discharged with oxygen from the hospital, nobody would let him cross state lines with it. That didn’t matter anyway
considering he had no car to use to drive and the fact he was not able to anyway. After days of him being in a hotel and the research everybody put in ln, we found he was able to fly with an FAA Portable oxygen tank. Guess what?
You could rent it for a week, for cash. Tony is now home and has quite a ways to go to
recover. Due to Tony’s recovery and the time
it will take to heal, he is unable to work. So,
needless to say the medical bills are
continuing to pile up. He also has a spinal
surgery that is going to be planned as soon as he is able to get back on his feet and this again will take him away from from work
responsibilities. Tony has spent his whole life coaching and helping others and now he is the one in need. Whatever you are able to send,
even if it’s a dollar is greatly appreciate it!
Hopefully this will help alleviate any stress
and financial burden he has incurred during this difficult time. Thank you again to all of our
friends and family who have been such a
support! He credits all of you for for it!
