My son was just being a good dad and coaching my grandson’s little league team when something unimaginable happened. During a practice, a mentally ill person ran onto the field and tried to attack the kids. My son, and others acted quickly and selflessly, jumped in to subdue the assailant and protect the children. In the process, my son tore his meniscus and now faces surgery and a long recovery.

He had just started a new job, and now it will be 8-12 weeks after surgery before he can even think about returning to work minimum! With his wife currently pregnant with their 3rd child, the timing couldn’t be more difficult. They are now facing the challenges of applying for disability, managing medical bills, and trying to keep things as normal as possible for their growing family.

Any support for him and his family would be so appreciated and mean so much as we navigate this crazy thing we call life. I’m thankful that all the kids were protected and grateful that my son only sustained injuries he can recover from. I just hope this can help them try and keep their head above water.
