Our brother Cleo was found earlier this week unresponsive in Rapid City, South Dakota. His tragic death is under investigation. Cleo's unexpected passing has shaken our family and our community. While we await more information from the authorities as to the cause, we are preparing to honor him with appropriate ceremonies and burial. We are asking for your help to cover funeral and ceremony expenses and help with travel for our relatives. He was an enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota Oyate, and while the tribe does provide minimal assistance, for which we are grateful, it is not sufficient.
