Our family and community are heartbroken by the tragic loss of Clayton Adam, a 22-year-old whose life was taken far too soon.

Clayton was the kind of person who loved being around his friends and family. He had a big heart, a bright spirit, and a love for life that touched everyone who knew him. He enjoyed skateboarding, spending time with his friends, and simply living life to the fullest. To his family, he was an incredible son, brother, uncle, and friend, and his presence brought joy and laughter to those around him.

On the night of this tragedy in Downtown Athens, Clayton showed the true character that defined who he was. After an alteration outside a nightclub, Clayton attempted to help a friend in need. Instead of walking away, he chose to help someone.

While trying to help, Clayton was shot as well.

Our family is now facing the unimaginable pain of losing someone so young and so loved. As we try to process this heartbreaking loss, we are also faced with the unexpected burden of funeral and memorial expenses.
